Lisa Podosin was five years old when a free roaming horse followed her through a field and became her trusted friend. That experience—wordless, powerful, and deeply felt—altered the course of her life.
What followed wasn’t a straight line through competition and accolades, though those came later. It was a deepening. From rider to trainer, from instructor to listener, Lisa’s path became less about control and more about relationship. Over time, her curiosity about how to partner with horses—without force or dominance—led her into something much larger: a life of devotion, healing, and unlearning. She no longer sought to master horses, but to understand them. To walk beside them.
Today, Lisa is a horse guardian and guide who helps others reconnect with their intuition and their own true nature—through the eyes and presence of a horse.
Lisa’s exploration of connecting with horses in a non-traditional way, using less and less gear, led her to work with some of the world’s top equine specialists, who inspired her to delve deeper into the soul-level bond that can exist between horses and humans.
For nearly two decades, Lisa has been a key member of a team delivering exclusive, residential wellness programs for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic illness–offering nourishment, presence, and care. In these sacred spaces of healing, she has witnessed firsthand how people return to themselves through basic protocols that address the many aspects of true health. This immersive work has given Lisa insight that now guides her work with horses and humans alike.
Lisa’s commitment to this work is grounded in her own lived experience –recovering from chronic illness that conventional medicine could not fully resolve. Her healing has incorporated Medical Medium tools—primarily fruit, vegetables, herbs, and wild foods—alongside meditation, breathwork, and elemental therapies that restore balance on emotional and spiritual levels. These are the same practices she now weaves into her retreats and daily life.
Lisa has helped me be more understanding and patient with my horse. I like the fact that she gives me simple activities to do with them. It’s not about how much we can achieve in a short amount of time, but instead it’s a slow and healing process for us all. Lisa allows my horses to open up and fully express themselves, while teaching me the fundamentals that are required to develop our connection and deepen our relationship.

I have spent most of my time in the last 4 years feeling like an absolute beginner with horses amongst most horsey people. There never seemed to be an end to very opinionated humans. Not often do you come across an open and non judgemental horsewoman like Lisa. I would recommend her to anyone who would love a deeper connection or a different connection with not only horses but any animal for that matter.

Lisa teaches what I deem essential awareness for anyone interested in the world of horses. I recommend Lisa with high regard and deep sincerity. I also recommend that anyone, horse person or not (yet), create the opportunity to meet Lisa and experience her profound one on one connection sessions.
