Healing in the High Country
It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog, and that’s because life—and my horses—took me on a journey I never expected. For the past several years, my focus has been on keeping both myself and my horses healthy and thriving.
It all began about five years ago when I was dealing with chronic illness that conventional medicine couldn’t resolve. Doctors offered temporary relief through antibiotics, but my symptoms would always return—sometimes even worse. I was at my wit’s end when I decided to try something entirely new: celery juice. Within the first few weeks, I noticed an improvement, which led me to dive deeper into the cleansing protocols of the Medical Medium.
Then, in 2022, Mullumbimby flooded, and my horses were in dire straits. Kona injured her hoof crossing a raging creek, Bob suffered terribly from Queensland itch, and both of them were plagued by seedy toe, rain scald, mud fever and relentless insects. Despite my best efforts—feeding them, caring for them, trimming their hooves, and providing everything I could—the subtropical climate was simply too much for them.
Out of the blue, a friend mentioned a rental house on a large acreage in Tenterfield. I’d only visited Tenterfield a couple of times, but I loved the rugged wildness, the granite landscape, and most importantly, it was perfect horse country. So I said, YES!
With the help of a neighbour’s tractor, we managed to drag the float out of the muddy paddock. The horses eagerly loaded up, and we headed west over the range. The relief we all felt upon arriving is beyond words. The horses were exhausted from battling the rain for so long, but as soon as they realised they were safe on firm ground, the healing began. Slowly but surely, their lives improved, and so did mine.
Why am I sharing this with you? Because after years of struggle, I’ve finally healed more symptoms than I can count. The cleansing protocols I discovered have truly saved my life. Millions of people worldwide have used this information to heal, and it’s not only effective but also 100% natural. The challenge lies in the discipline it requires, especially when attempting to do it alone. I would've loved to have had a guide to get me get started.
What about the horses? They’ve flourished in their new environment. Their hooves have hardened, their rain scald cleared up in the dry air, and the insects are no longer a constant irritation. Within a short time, after feasting on lucerne and enjoying mornings of sleep recovery, they began to explore their new home, trotting up the hills to graze on the nutritious native grass.
After a few twists and turns—like living in a tent for eight months (which I loved) and helping design and build a tiny house on a new property where a beautiful herd of brumbies roam—we’ve all found our place. The horses are now fully integrated into the herd and are living their best lives.
As for me, I’m healthier than ever and remain devoted to cleansing because I know how powerful it is. The more I do it, the more I heal, and the easier it becomes to maintain.
If you’re interested in joining us for a weekend horse human healing retreat here in Tenterfield—where you can connect with the herd, plunge in a crystal-clear river, and get a taste of the benefits from the Medical Medium cleansing protocols that transformed my life—then this is for you. These intimate weekends are limited to a small group of people who are focused on deepening their connection and communication with horses and what they are teaching us. As you quietly sit with the herd, or lie on a massage table to completely relax, you may find one or several horses standing with you, offering you a deeply healing experience. Yet, these sessions can never be planned which makes them even more special. Ultimately, spending time with horses and in nature can offer remarkable healing and insights.

Hi Lisa, I had to really search to find out who was writing. You talked about the book but didn’t mention who the author was. First of all I thought it was another friend who was doing something similar in Ireland. Anyway when I went to your blog and found your name it all came back. It looks like a lovely place you are in and I’m sending my blessings that you will all be happy there! In the awakening new world humans will need places like ours to recover, re-connect and discover the LOVE and healing that is so present in the natural world.
